It’s Always Great to Wake Up to a Win

The Patriots did it again! New England left the desert with a hard fought, 23-21 victory against the Arizona Cardinals. Without the help of Tom Brady or Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots still managed to take the win, and I don’t know about you but nothing feels better then seeing the Patriots take a win over a team that are supposed to be Super Bowl contenders.

Jimmy Garoppolo did exactly what Tom Brady always does, leading New England to a late score and victory. Garoppolo completed  24 of 33 passes for 264 yards with no interceptions. Continuously running down the field, Garoppolo seemed cool and collected as he didn’t seem to be rattled once. ” When you have confidence in your teammates and they have confidence in you, it’s easy to stay poised” Garoppolo said.

That’s exactly what showed when Garaoppolo took advantage of blown coverage by Williams to throw to wide open Chris Hogan, making an impact with a 37 -yard touchdown catch. He finished with three receptions on four targets with 60 yards. The free-agent developing WR has made a positive impression with his solid on-field work, showing his quickness and sure hands. Regardless of where Hogan fits into the depth chart, theres one advantage Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola lack that Chris Hogan doesn’t, and that’s durability. Hogan has yet to miss a game since his NFL Debut in 2013 where he played for the Buffalo Bills. Looks like Lacrosse isn’t the only talent the 27- year old receiver has up his sleeve. Thank you Buffalo, you’re officially a Patriot Christopher.. I’m sure Rex likes that one.

Offensively the Patriots converted 10 if 16 third downs, putting forth a decent 363 yards, including 106 yards on the ground. The defense also came out to play as they made the stops they needed to make, allowing 50 percent third downs and 344 total yards. Although these numbers were impressive, I’m not completely satisfied with how many penalties (8 to be exact) were made and the two turnovers. I mean, come on guys.. you know the rules so get with it, were not the Dolphins .. were the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS!

Meanwhile, since the start of 2000 season, we’ve had the best regular season road record in the NFL, handsome Jimmy is arguably on his way to becoming one of the best QB’s , and Carson Palmer is still dumber than a bag of rocks.

“I tried not to follow it just because it was everywhere for so long but I go back and … you follow what the rule book says and go about your business and your work and if they tell you not to do it and you get busted and what happens happens then you suffer the consequences.”
